In his latest rant during the last stop of his Yeezus Tour in Toronto on December 23, Kanye promised not to say anything negative about anyone or anything for at least six months...

The Hip Hop Awards, The Headies 2013 took place last night at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki, Lagos. The star studded event is being hosted by MAVIN Artists Tiwa Savage and Dr Sid.

Everyone who is everyone in the entertainment industry is at the event; Banky W, Waje, Toke Makinwa, Olamide, Phyno, Praiz, Iyanya and several others.

Silverbird presenter, Yvonne is wearing a sheer blue  dress by Weiz Dhurm Franklyn which he debuted at the GTB Lagos Fashion and Design Week earlier in the year. Toke Makinwa went with her favourite designer of choice; April by Kunbi who won the grand prize of 3 million Naira at Music Meets Runway 2013 for the rising icon of the year.

The after party of the music awards show will be held at Prive Lounge and Club rooftop, Karimu Kotun, Victoria Island Lagos.

Nollywood producer Emem Isong held the prize giving day and end of the year party for her media school – Royal Arts Academy on Saturday 21st December 2013 at Gee’s Place Lounge, Lekki, Lagos.

And of course, some of the biggest leading ladies in Nollywood including Ini Edo, Susan Peters, Omoni Oboli, Rukky Sanda, Stephanie Linus as well as Mbong Amata, Philip Ehiagwina, Bobby Michaels and Nnamdi Oboli, came to show their support.

First Cut is a new flick centered on rape, a treacherous love triangle, conflicting family ties and loads of fashion.

It is produced by Nollywood’s newbie Lisa Henry Omorodion and directed by Chico Ejiro.

Monalisa Chinda, Joseph Benjamin, Bobby Obodo and Emmanuel Mensah feature in the production.

The movie will premiere on Sunday 29th December 2013 at the Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. It

will premiere in the cinemas in January 2014.

100% Single: Banky W Says He Is Waiting For the Right Girl

Those who have been speculating that R&B singer, Banky Wellington, (Banky W), is engaged and may soon settle down, may have shot themselves in the leg as the hot guy has come out to state categorically that he is still very much single and is actually waiting for the right woman and time marry.

Speaking in an interview with HipHop World Magazine, the highly talented and rich dude who was

romantically linked to Italian-Ghanaian model Andrea Manuela Giaccaglia, said he is 100% single and that news of his relationship with the leggy model was new to him and that she is just a friend. Banky revealed that he is single and everyone shouldn’t be interested in his relationship status.

“I think people shouldn’t be so obsessed about my relationship status, I’ll get married when the time is right and the lady is right. When these two things are in order, I’ll marry. At the moment, I am 100% single,” he concluded.

Paul Walker Dies in Car Crash

Paul Walker, star of The Fast and the Furious, has died, WHO confirms.

The actor died Saturday afternoon when the Porsche he was travelling in crashed and exploded in Santa Clarita, California. The driver of the vehicle, ex-race car driver and owner of Walker's auto-racing team, Roger Roadas, also died.   

Friends and colleagues flooded Twitter with tributes to the father of one, who got his start as a child actor in commercials and went on to make appearances in shows like Charles in Charge, Who's the Boss and The Young and the Restless.

Police released a statement about the accident: "When they arrived, deputies found the vehicle engulfed in flames. The Los Angeles County Fire Department responded, extinguished the fire and subsequently located two victims inside the vehicle. The victims were pronounced dead at the scene."

According to a post on his official Facebook page, the actor was "attending a charity event for his organisation Reach Out Worldwide. He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We appreciate your patience as we too are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news. Thank you for keeping his family and friends in your prayers during this very difficult time. We will do our best to keep you apprised on where to send condolences."


Walker was known for his role as Brian O'Conner in The Fast and the Furious film franchise.
The latest, 'Fast & Furious 7', was filmed this fall and also stars Vin Diesel, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Rodiguez, Ludacris and Dwayne Johnson, and is scheduled to hit theaters next summer.
Walker has a daughter, Meadow Rain, who turned 15 last month.
The actor was born in Glendale, California, in 1973, and appeared on TV in Who's the Boss and The Young and the Restless as a teen before breaking through to films such as 1999's Varsity Blues and She's All That.


Walker recalled his decision to take the role in Fast and the Furious to Motor Trend this year.
"Universal came to me with a newspaper article about street racing in L.A. and I was like 'Are you kidding me? I grew up doing that right off Peoria in Sun Valley,' " he said. "They asked if I wanted to do it. There wasn't even a screenplay, there was nothing, but I was like ...'F–– yeah, I want to do it!' "
TMZ was the first to report the news of Walker's death in a car accident.

This is so painful, was looking forward to seeing more of Paul Walker in Fast and Furious. May God give your family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Former England skipper, David Beckham is likely to receive Knighthood after been unveiled as one of the potential names on the New Year’s Honours List in England yesterday. The footballer’s likely honour means he will be given the official title Sir, while his fashion designer wife will become ‘Lady Victoria.’

The 38-year-old football ambassador has been named as one of the potential candidates for the Royal accolade, with officials reportedly carrying out standard checks before he is officially confirmed.

 According to The Sun , ‘HM Revenue and Customs look at the higher honours – specifically at the high earners like sports people – to see if there is anything they want to double check. Final approval will be given later this month, with Beckham’s £165 million fortune being one of the factors assessed by officials before he gets the green light.
Should his name appear on the Honours List, the GQ Most Stylish Man of the Year 2013 is likely to be reunited with close friend Prince William when he receives his Knighthood at Buckingham Palace in the New Year.

 According to UK’s DailyMail, the two have forged a close friendship thanks to their various charitable commitments, amongst them WildAid, a campaign to reduce the demand for rhino horns and ivory.

It will also cap a transitional 12-month period for Beckham, who closed the door on his illustrious playing career at the end of last season after winning the French title with Paris Saint Germain.

Reports confirm that Beckham already has an OBE for his services to football, awarded to him in 2003, and the potential knighthood reflects his contribution to football over the last 20-years, as well his various ambassadorial commitments.

The 'Bad Teacher' star posted her first tweet on the micro-blogging site today (11.08.13) and attracted 67,000 followers in just three hours.
Using the Twitter handle @CameronDiaz, the 41-year-old actress poked fun at her late arrival to the social networking site in her first post, writing: "I JUST got a super cool new app called Twitter. Twelloooo!!! (sic)"
The actress' profile includes a brief bio that reads: "Liver and lover of life; professional laugher, eater, make-believer."
She also opted to use a quirky avatar picture, in which she appears wide-eyed and has her mouth open.
