D’Banj was a Special Guest at Ludacris’ 7th Annual Luda Day Weekend, 2012

Chris “Ludacris” Bridges kicks off his 7th annual “Luda Day weekend” this year with giving back to the community, which he says is the most gratifying component of his five day event.

“Supporting our youth includes educating and empowering them about the benefits of a healthy lifestyle-responsible dating, greener communities, and healthy eating habits. Eating right and exercise promote good habits, both mentally and physically. We want to show young people that physical activity and eating well can be fun and a part of your everyday life.”
The annual event shows a different side to the Grammy-winning rapper as he drops the mic and calls on his friends for a weekend full of charity and good cause… and a little (a lot of) fun.

The 7th Annual LudaDay Weekend Event  involved:

Thursday, August 30th - “Welcome to Atlanta Dinner”

Friday, August 31st - “Luda Salutes the DJs & Media Appreciation”; “The Healthy Life Styles event” which served as the launch of two new programs organized by The Ludacris Foundation including the Choose Well Campaign and the Financial Literacy Program.

Saturday, September 1st – “Luda & Friends College Campus Takeover” & “LudaDay Party”

Sunday, September 2nd - “Ludacris (Team Luda) vs. Kevin Hart (Team Hart)” Celebrity Basketball Game at Morehouse College, Forbes Arena.

Monday, September 3rd – “Splash Waterfalls 2012 The World Famous Private Mansion Pool Party”

Also, the charity basketball game featured the likes of Kevin Hart, Pusha T, Ma$e and many more make appearances.

“First of all I want to thank everybody for buying tickets to this game. We raised over $30,000 for Ludacris foundations and that goes right back in the hood and goes back to the city of Atlanta that’s been supporting me since day one.” – Ludacris



Tinsel's Angela (Matilda Obaseki) welcomes Baby Boy

The eccentric young movie executive, Angela Dede, played by Matilda Obaseki who has been replaced by the Ghanian actress, Leonora Okine, is said to have been delivered of a baby boy.



The lovers of the superb series who have been clamour for her return back to Tinsel have all been sending congratulatory messages all over the world.

The bundle of joy and his mummy who got engaged early this year, I learnt they are doing well.

WHO IS YOUR DIVA OF THE YEAR?

Eko International Film Festival (EKOIFF) presents the first ever Nollywood Divas Awards. to be unveiled at the 3rd Eko International Film Festival which opens on November 5, 2012, in the coastal mega city of Lagos in south western Nigeria.
There are 20 Nominees: Rita Dominic, Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Stephine Okereke Linus, Kate Henshaw, Funke Akindele, Monalisa Chinda, Omoli Oboli, Stella Damasus, Ngozi Ezeonu, Joke Silva-Jacobs, Ini Edo, Uche Jumbo, Bimbo Akinbola, Tonto Dike, Mercy Johnson, Nse Ikpe Esim, Fathia Balogun, Lillian Bach and Clarion Chukwura.

Akon, Wyclef Feature In Jeta Amata's Film

These international superstars, Akon and Wyclef Jean have displayed their love for Nigeria's entertainment industry by appearing in one of Nollywood finests, Jeta Amata in his new flick, Black November.

The Multiple platinum international recording artists, Wyclef Jean and Akon have in recent time associated themselves to Nigeria in affable way. 
Why Wyclef aligned himself with Nigerian acts Soundsultan and Faze in past years, Akon on the other hand has been spotted more recently with P-square on music collaborations.

The two stars have however taken their artistry to another level by featuring in this new flick.

The movie recently shot in Los Angeles California USA,is about the struggles of the Niger Delta.

Akon and Wyclef are said to have joined the set during the last phase of shooting, and the movie has since entered post production stage.

Other A-listers starring in the movie are Hakeem Kae-Kazim, Mbong Amata, Mickey Rourke(iron man2), Kim Basinger, Sarah Wayne Callies, Enyinna Nwigwe, and Anne Heche. Also featured in the film are Fred Amata, Nse Ikpe-Etim, OC Ukeje, and Robert Peters.

"I must commend Jetta Amata, because avenues like this open up Nollywood more, to the international market.

I certainly cant wait to see the movie!" One of the stakeholders in Nollywood said about him.

Mr Nigeria 2010 Kenneth Okolie proposes to girlfriend

Mr Nigeria 2010, Kenneth Okolie last Saturday September 1st proposed to his girlfriend of a year and a half, Mariam Kess Momoh.
Mariam Kess Momoh is  a graduate of Benson Idahosa University and a former model. The two plan to marry early 2013.

Funke Sports A Baby Bump!!!

This explains the radiant smile and vibrant look the actress has been sporting lately. Funke Oloyede nee Akindele recently tied the knot with her beau, Kenny Almaroof Oloyede and it seems like the couple has been busy.
The actress was spotted recently at the Nigerian Entertainment Awards which held in New York and not only did she rock the dress, she rocked her baby bump too. We are super excited about the news and eager await the arrival of the latest Oloyede. Congrats Funke!!!I just hope this is true but until then Funke, I will be watching ya like a hawk in the sky...

P-Square's Peter Dazzles Heartthrob, Lola Omotayo With Surprise Birthday Bash

One half of P-Square music group fame, Peter Okoye on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at West Fosters, located at 70, Queens Drive, Ikoyi, Lagos organised a surprise birthday bash for his heartthrob, Lola Omotayo.
Family members of Lola including her dad and few other friends were in attendance. They were given a posh treatment at swimming pool side of the venue where there were enough to eat and drink.
The Managing Director of DANA Air, Jacky Hathiramani also attended the get-together with his wife.
Lola was taken by surprise as she wasn’t aware Peter had made such preparation for her. The multiple award-winning singer had only told her that only both of them were going to West Fosters to have some good time. But on their arrival, Lola was surprised to see her father and other guests who stood up to sing birthday song for her.
Speaking on why he organised the bash for Lola, Peter said "She is a wonderful woman who means a lot to me. Special people deserve special things like this."
Few weeks ago, Peter announced that thet (Peter and Lola) were expecting their second child.
