Flavour Becomes Lekki Landlord

Sensational Highlife crooner, Flavour, (Chinedu Okoli), has joined the ranks of Nigerian showbiz stars who are now landlords in the highbrow area of Lekki, Lagos State.

The ‘Baby Ukwu’ singer, we gather, has moved into his property in the area to join the likes of Iyanya, Don Jazzy, Dr. Sid, Cossy Orjiakor, Mercy Johnson, Genevieve Nnaji and a host of other stars who own houses in Lekki.

The mansion, we hear, has set the musician back by millions.

Shocking!!! Goldie Is Really Dead

Nigerian singer Goldie is dead. The shocking news stunned the nation on Thursday February 14, 2013. Reports first came in from Linda Ikeji, a popular Nigerian blogger who quoted Derenle Edun, Goldie’s best friend as saying that Goldie died in his arms at the Reddington hospital in Victoria Island, Lagos. 

Goldie who was at the recently held Grammy Award ceremony returned back to Nigeria on  Thursday, February 14, 2013. She was brimming with life and bustling with energy until ‘something’ tragically went wrong. Derenle was reported to be in so much shock and agony that he cried and turned his phone off.

By way of confirmation, Goldie’s management have issued a short statement on her facebook page . “It is with heavy heart that I have to inform you all that Goldie passed this night shortly after arriving Lagos from LA. May her soul rest in the eternal peace of the Lord – Admin!!,” it said. While on twittersphere, confirmation keeps pouring in from an increasing number of Nigerian artistes including Don Jazzy, and Denrenle.

Kennis Music, her record label has released an official statement via the CEO Kenny Ogungbe. It reads;

“With a deep sense of loss, we announce the shocking death of our darling music star, Goldie Harvey. Goldie, 31, died on Thursday after she complained of a severe headache shortly after her arrival from the United States where she went to witness the Grammy Award. She was rushed from her Park View, Ikoyi, Lagos residence to her official hospital, Reddington, Victoria Island, Lagos, where doctors pronounced her dead on arrival at exactly 7:30pm in the evening.
        

Singer Waje spotted on a movie set

             

Waje was spotted recently while on the set of a new movie. The award winning songbird has snagged a major role in an upcoming movie.

Directed by Stanley Ohikhuare, the movie also stars Femi Jacobs, Patrick Doyle, Nse Nile and others. The yet untitled movie tells the story of a young pastor and his wife who battle to save their daughter’s life and their troubled marriage.

Waje who has always professed her love for acting, enters the film after bit parts in stage plays most notably ‘Olorunbi’ in 2010. She is also adding finishing touches to her album which is due out in March. See more...
