Naeto C seems to have taken his ‘Big boy’ status to another level, but this time not so pleasant. He was meant to perform at the much publicized – Love Concert 3 in Benin alongside other top acts such as Terry G, Sound Sultan, Gandoki and others on the 5th of November. It was only Naeto C amongst all other artistes who refused to be interviewed on the Red carpet by any media house, on the basis that he was only paid to perform.
When it was then time for him to perform, after emerging from his hotel room where he had been lodged by the organizers, he requested for his return ticket fee which the organizers – EhiGlad ENT. promised to pay after his performance, since his artiste fee of N500, 000 had already been paid in full, but Naeto C wouldn’t buy any of this saying, he already had a return ticket and needed a refund in cash.
The organizers pleaded with him to no avail, and had to continue the show without him. After the show, he was then asked to refund the artiste fee he was paid (N500, 000) before leaving since he didn’t perform as scheduled, Naeto C was said to have immediately place a call to his mother – Mrs Kema Chikwe, former Minister for Petroleum and in no time security operatives including the Nigerian Police, SSS showed up and effected his release. Naeto C then claimed that some of his personal belongings – Bold 5 Blackberry phone and $6000 were missing and as such the organizers and the Hotel owner were arrested. Gist however has it that they have since been released.
What can we say; ‘Wonders shall never end’. “The only MC with an MSC” now it should be; ‘The only MC who’s a Mummy’s boy’ lol! 10/10? no! We score you 0/10 for failing to set a good example for upcoming artistes.
